It was love at first search! I just got married a few weeks ago and happened to be browsing all my usual stationary websites when Basic Invite reached out. They have great reviews on all my trusted wedding websites so why not try them out? Also, it didn’t hurt that everything on their website is 15% off through the end of July with the coupon code: 15FF51.
Being a big believer in only endorsing products I use and love, I ordered some samples courtesy of Basic Invite to see how they compared. Y’all, they did NOT disappoint and here are the reasons why.
1. Custom Samples
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that I have come across that allows customers to receive a printed sample of the actual invitation to see how the ink, paper, and photo quality will look. This was a big selling point for me as I am the type of person who likes to see, touch and feel a product before making a purchasing decision. The fact that I can do that AND have the photo options I am contemplating come to life was a big draw for me.
Below are the samples that arrived! The paper quality exceeded my expectations. Each one felt and looked like a nice, high-quality card. The photo quality was perfect and the text color, foil color, and fonts looked very sharp. I am definitely going to order one of these for our actual wedding Thank You cards!
2. Peel & Stick Envelopes – Say What?!
Who else out there would rather eat a bug than lick an envelope? That was a little dramatic but you get the point. Licking envelopes gives me the heebie-jeebies! For my wedding invitations (we invited 300 people) I resorted to a glue stick and double-sided tape because there was no way I was licking hundreds of envelopes. Basic Invite – you have saved the day. This is effective, efficient and the number two reason I am excited about using Basic Invite for all my upcoming stationery needs (too soon to think about holiday cards?).
3. Great Customer Service
Customer service is one of the main things I look for when choosing a business to work with, a retail location to shop at, a restaurant to take friends and family to, the list goes on.
The customization and ordering process was so seamless on Basic Invite. During my sample order process, I did not realize I forgot to make a couple of selections and less than five minutes after placing the order a customer service representative reached out via text AND email. These notifications informed me that I needed to update my order. I clicked on the link they provided through my text message and it took me straight to the proofs that needed action. I submitted my comments and sent for revisions. Again, less than five minutes later I received another text and email notifying me to check out the final proof/edits and submit for print. Fast, easy, efficient and effective.
I appreciate customer service professionals who are just that: professionals who leave you feeling like a valued customer.
4. No Addresses, No Problem.
Gone are the days of getting stressed about the process of getting addresses! This was a big reason why it took me so long in life to start sending out holiday cards. Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses. From there, the information is automatically stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process. Basic Invite also offers recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders, which is always an added benefit.
5. So Many Colors and Options for Every Occasion!
Not only am I excited about receiving my final wedding Thank You cards but after browsing all the designs and color customization options I am pumped to start working on holiday cards. There are over 180 color options to choose from for customizing each element of your card and over 40 colors just for envelopes!
These are the best holiday cards! If you want to filter by a specific holiday you can do that too. Here are some super cute Christmas cards. Finally, for all my fellow corporate folks out there, here are some awesome corporate holiday cards. Right now Basic Invite is offering 30% off their holiday cards using the code HOLI30. Run!
Finally, for all my new mama friends and soon-to-be mama friends, I found some baby shower invites and birth announcements that are to die for!
