Chocolate Almond & Cashew Butter Nice Cream

I am writing this post in the middle of winter but I mean, an ice cream addiction is an ice cream addiction, right? Sometimes you need your nightly fix of chocolate and sometimes you need your nightly fix of ice cream. Me? I need my nightly fix of both.

As I have gotten older, my dairy tolerance has weakened so frozen vegan treats have been a wonderful addition to my diet. This one is no exception.

Nice cream is the perfect frozen treat for any day you find your sweet tooth kicking in. This version is dairy-free, gluten-free and vegan. One of the best things about nice cream? You can customize it with all your favorite toppings and make it your perfect dessert or sweet snack.

Chocolate Almond & Cashew Butter Nice Cream

Ingredients

  • Three chopped up ripe frozen bananas 
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Splash of pure vanilla extract
  • Heaping tablespoon of almond butter
  • Heaping tablespoon of cashew butter
  • 34 splashes of almond milk or any other non-dairy milk preference

Instructions

Blend on low-medium for 15-30 seconds. Add more non-dairy milk as needed to blend smoothly. Consistency should be similar to a thick soft-serve or frozen yogurt. 

Top with you favorite toppings!

Some of my favorites are:

  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Shaved almonds
  • Purely Elizabeth granola
  • Raw cashew pieces
